The fingers and the palms of the hands may be tough as they were designed to grip, grasp, and clutch different things. This does not mean, though, that they could not use a little help. With the Youngstown Pro XT Gloves, grips could be tighter, heat and friction on the palms is eliminated, and the hands and wrists are protected from cuts and abrasions.
The palms and the index fingers of the Pro XT are equipped with three layers providing extra protection to the most used parts of the hand. To prevent grasped objects from slipping from the hands, a non-slip reinforcement is incorporated in the one-piece saddle on the palms, fingers, and thumbs of the gloves.
The cuffs of the gloves are extended giving protection and support to the wrists. On the back of the hand, the knuckles and tips of the fingers are also given additional protection. A piece of terry cloth is sewn on the back of the thumbs for wiping the sweat off your brow and face when climbing during hot weather.
All seams and patches are double-stitched for extra strength and durability. These patches are resistant to abrasions and are intended for rugged applications. The palm reinforcement, being the most abused part, is double stitched with Kevlar thread.
