Yellow Jacket Line

Yellow Jacket Line

The Yellow Jacket Line marketed by Sherrill Tree is made of high-tenacity polyester with low water absorption and minimal shrinkage. It is a 16-strand line that has been tightly woven in order to reduce its bulk and weight. These features make the Yellow Jacket Line ideal for arborists, both professional and those who climb for fun and adventure. With the reduced weight, less effort is needed to haul it through the trees. The lessened bulk makes storage more convenient.

The Yellow Jacket Line does not milk. This is because of the tight weave of the strands. You can be confident that there will be no unsightly and irritating bulges in front of your ascenders, descenders, or any other type of climber’s hitches.

The rope has a diameter of 13 mm that is compatible with most of the mechanical climbing equipment available to climbers. It has a tensile strength of 2,800 kg with an elongation of 2.52% at 245 kg. It weighs 3.3 kg per hundred feet.

Sherrill Tree’s Yellow Jacket Line is not pure yellow. There are green flecks among the strands. However, it is the yellow, bright as it is, that makes it highly visible even when partially hidden by lush tree leaves.
