The Stein D11C is a compact and lightweight helmet that is comfortable to wear. In fact, weighing only 350 grams, it is easy to forget that you are actually wearing one. There are 10 air intakes distributed all over the helmet that are guaranteed to keep your head cool even when climbing in hot weather. You need not worry, however, of foreign materials such as leaves, twigs, or insects creeping into the air intakes, as they are protected by grilles.
Designed to fit head sizes ranging from 51 to 62, it is equipped with Stein’s Up-n-Down technology that allows a quick adjustment of the height and inclination of the helmet. A large wheel at the back of the helmet can be rotated to this end, although an even quicker way is by pushing towards the center the two rubber flaps.
Two different inner pads, the head-band and disc, help to properly position the helmet. They also keep your head from knocking into the lining or shell of the helmet. The lining consists of a dual layer of Coolmax. With its open cell filter system, dust and other impurities are filtered and prevented from reaching your head. It is also anti-allergenic.
Helping to keep the helmet on your head even when going through jarring movements is the chinstrap that is fastened to the helmet without metallic rivets. Special buckles are fitted with the straps that enable quick adjustment of the helmet’s tilt or inclination. A special loop on the strap serves as a connection to a harness for a convenient carry while it is not in use.
The outer shell of the Stein D11C Safety Helmet Plasma SSES Hi-Viz is made from polypropylene. The inner shell, on the other hand, is of HD polystyrene density.
