Smith Optics Embargo Polarized Sunglasses

 Smith Optics Embargo Polarized Sunglasses

Protective eyewear is important for any outdoor sport. For tree climbing, you will need to keep falling leaves, small twigs, dirt, or other debris out of your eyes. You will also need to protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

The Smith Optics Embargo Polarized Sunglasses effectively provides this protection. The lenses filter 100% of ultraviolet light that could potentially injure your eyes. As an electromagnetic radiation, UV light can damage the retina, cornea, and the lens.

The lenses are polarized reducing 99% of visible glare. This increases visual sharpness and at the same time reduces eye fatigue. Smith uses its Tapered Lens Technology™ to create polycarbonate Carbonic Lenses™ whose thickness is contoured in a way that light can travel through them without discernible distortion. This means that what you see through the Embargo is exactly what you see without it except for the glare.

The same technology also enables Smith Optics to produce lenses that are extremely resistant to impact and scratches. You will be wearing the Embargo Polarized Sunglasses to plenty of tree climbs for a long time.

The frame is made of a proprietary lightweight nylon trademarked Grilamid™ TR90. Like the lenses, it is impact-resistant. It is also flexible, offering a consistent fit, regardless of ambient temperature. Non-slip hydrophilic nose and temple pads are incorporated into the frame so you don’t have to worry about dropping the sunglasses in cases of unexpected drops and jolts.

There are six variations of the Embargo in terms frame and lens colors –black polar gray, chemical stripe polar brown, matte black evolve polar gray green, matte tortoise evolve polar brown, black gray, and tortoise polar brown.
