With a polycarbonate shell and an adjustment mechanism that allows for precise fit on your head, the Petzl Ecrin Roc Climbing Helmet is both a tough and comfortable protective gear.
The shell is a durable thermoplastic polymer that is highly resistant to impact and has excellent shock-absorbing capabilities. It also resists degradation due to exposure to ultraviolet rays.
The head and nape straps can be fine tuned even with the helmet on using the dual adjustment wheels mounted on the side of the helmet. You can also choose which of the two supplied foam headbands –one thick and the other thin— you should use with the helmet for a better fit. The chinstrap is also adjustable, moving forward or backward, to suit different facial structures.
The external shell is kept off your head with the helmet’s suspension system, thus allowing unimpeded air flow inside it keeping you cool at all times. In addition to this, there are also 14 ventilation holes on the sides of the helmet. These, however, can be plugged when used during cold weather.
Hooks are incorporated in the Petzl Ecrin Roc Climbing Helmet for the secure attachment of headlamps.
