New Tribe Kid’s Basic Saddle

New Tribe Kid's Basic Saddle

Before color TVs, video games, and computers became a necessity in virtually every home, children played tag, cops and robbers, and hide and seek running all over the place. They jumped into rivers, ran up hills, and climbed trees. Today, electronic gadgets have captured the attention of the children in front of which they spend hours. Given this, it is not surprising that plenty of our young have become fat and even obese. This need not happen to your children. You can lure them outdoors to engage in physical activities that can help them reclaim their health. One activity that they can enjoy is climbing trees either in your backyard or in the wilderness. Apart from its health benefits, exposing them at a young age to the beauty of nature may help them appreciate the importance of preserving our environment.

You do not want, however, to send your kids clambering up huge and tall trees without any protection. Today, there are plenty of protective equipment that can make tree climbing a very safe and secure activity. Ropes are used extensively along with safety harnesses. One such harness designed for kids is the New Tribe Kid’s Basic Saddle.

The saddle is designed for kids aged five years and up, with a maximum waist size of 26 inches and upper thigh of 19. It is made of a durable and strong nylon canvass that is abrasion-resistant, and which covers the foam padding of the waist belt. The large leg pads are teardrop-shaped, which makes sitting on them while suspended from a tree branch quite comfortable.

Closure hardware consists of a Galvanized Delta Screw Link. This can be upgraded to a Stainless Steel Delta as an option. Life-safety system is made of parachute webbing and a forged steel D ring. It has two accessory rings on the belt where your children can hook items they may want to bring along on their climb.

And while you are encouraging your children to climb, you might as well join them, and not only reminisce about your younger days but, perhaps more important, spend quality time with your children.
