Mammut Tripod Climbing Helmet

Mammut Tripod Climbing Helmet

Inmolding technology, which uses a compression-molding process, firmly and completely bonds the EPS core and the tough Microshell outer casing of the Mammut Tripod Climbing Helmet. The result is a very secure attachment of the two helmet components that provides excellent protection against mechanical impacts and crashes. The shell is also deformable which, together with the core, absorbs these impacts and crashes. This protection is significantly greater than that offered by helmets whose inner padding and outer shell are spot-bonded with ordinary adhesive materials.

The helmet features large ventilation openings keeping you cool even when climbing in hot weather. These are positioned at the front, sides, and back of the helmet for a good air flow. The fact that the helmet is made of polystyrene and the presence of the vents both help keep the helmet lightweight. These features make the Mammut Tripod Climbing Helmet ideal for long and hot climbs.

The padding inside the shell is ergonomically designed providing a comfortable and snug fit. Both the height and size of the head band is adjustable using two fine tuning mechanisms mounted at the back of the head. The chin strap is also fully adjustable keeping the helmet leveled on the head. And should the sun set on you while you are still climbing, there are four large clips designed to fasten different types of head lamps on the Mammut helmet.
