Edge Dakura Safety Glasses with Polarized Lenses

Edge Dakura Safety Glasses with Polarized Lenses

Outdoor sports activities, such as tree climbing, expose you to harmful ultraviolet rays that could damage the cornea, lens, and retina of your eyes. This is especially true if you do your climbing in high altitudes where less ultraviolet rays are filtered by the thinner atmosphere. And if you like climbing in winter, reflection from ice and snow could cause further damage. Hence, there is a need for protective eyewear such as the Edge Dakura Safety Glasses with Polarized Lenses.

The lenses of the Edge Dakura are made of polarized anti-fog polycarbonate. These types of lenses naturally block ultraviolet rays in all their subtypes (UVA, UVB, and UVC) by as much as 99%. The wraparound structure of the frame affords total eye protection as the eye is covered on all sides. In spite of the curved lenses there is no distortion of images.

The lenses also eliminate glare and reflected light thus reducing eye strain. And for protection from scratches and resistance to impacts, they are treated with a hard coat layer.

The temple is made of nylon which makes the Edge Dakura lightweight and flexible. This is an important feature as sports glasses are often subjected to certain pressures. Instead of breaking, they are able to twist and bend slightly and then re-assume their original shapes when the pressure is removed.

There are two available frames of the Edge Dakura Safety Glasses, the plain black and camouflage. For the plain black there are five different lenses, all of which are polarized. These are: silver mirror, yellow, copper, smoke, and blue mirror. For the camouflage version, there are only copper driving and smoke lenses.
